TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. General Booking Information
1.1. We are unable to reserve a place for any persons onto a course until full payment has been received and the place has been confirmed to you by us.
1.2. By booking onto a training course with a full payment, you are acknowledging that you have read and understood the terms and conditions herein.
1.3. All confirmed students will receive a booking confirmation. If you do not receive your booking confirmation let us know so we can confirm that there are no problems.
1.4. The company reserves the right to decline any application for enrolment on a training course.
1.5. It is required for all sessions that candidates must be able to understand and read in English.
1.6. Tuition is on a group basis, although it does take account of individual’s interests and needs. All courses are subject to a minimum number of students enrolling.
1.7. Each training course is divided into sessions that lasts approximately two hours. In order to get the most out of any course, it is recommended that all sessions are attended. Pencil Proof will not be responsible for sessions missed by the student, unless prior arrangement has been confirmed between Pencil Proof and the student. Refunds will not be given for any sessions that were missed during the training course.
1.8. Training instructions will be provided as printouts for each session. Students will be informed no less than 7 days prior to the commencement of the training course of any additional material that may be required.
1.9. Course certificates will be dispatched at the end of the course for those students that have attended all the sessions for a specific training course. No certificates will be issued for students that have missed any one of the sessions.
2.1. All fees for the entire training course must be paid no less than 7 days prior to the start of the course.
2.2. We are unable to allow students to start a training course unless course fees have been paid for in full.
2.3. Payments are non-refundable unless Pencil Proof cancels the course.
2.4. Payments can be made via cash, internet or direct deposit into our bank account. Please contact us for details.
3.1. For your security we will not accept cancellations by phone alone. If you wish to cancel or postpone a training course you must confirm so in writing or via email.
3.2. If you cancel the training course booking within 14 days of the start date of the course then you will be liable for 30 % of the full course fees including vat.
3.3. If you cancel the training course within 7 days you will be liable for 100 % of the full course fees including vat.
3.4. Companies or private candidates may substitute an alternative student generally for no extra charge.
3.5. Rather than cancel a training course, you may wish to postpone until another date. We will allow postponing only once with at least 14 days prior notice from the course start date.
3.6. Pencil Proof reserves the right to cancel, re-schedule or vary any course or part of a course due to insufficient numbers, reasons beyond control or changes in regulations. If this were to happen and you are unable to meet the new schedule we will refund any money paid for the course.
3.7. Where Pencil Proof cancels a training course we will not be held liable for transportation, accommodation, loss of earnings or any other associated costs.
4.1. Whilst students are on the premises they are obliged to abide by all Health and Safety policies that are in place. Where a student is disruptive to other students, breaches health and safety guidelines or endangers themselves or others, we reserve the right to ask that candidate to leave the premises. Candidates that are asked to leave the course for the above reasons will not be entitled to a refund.
4.2. Pencil Proof do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property.
4.3. Pencil Proof reserve the right to ask any student to leave the course if they arrive excessively late or have missed too many sessions of the course, if it is believed that it will disrupt the personal attention given to each student in the class. The full course fees will remain payable.
4.4. The use of cameras, mobile phones or other audio or video recording devices during training is strictly prohibited unless agreed in advance with Pencil Proof. Mobile phones, pagers and camera phones must be switched off during sessions. Anyone failing to comply with this will be asked to leave the session without entitlement to a refund.
4.5. Pencil Proof reserves the right to take photographs during its sessions and make use of it in promotional publications and on its website. If you do not wish Pencil Proof to use photos that include you or any of the work that you have produced during the training period, you may notify us in writing at the time of enrolment.
5. Complaints and Appeals
5.1. Complaints in the first instance should be made to the tutor, lecturer or person in charge. If you are unhappy with the outcome then it will be taken up as per the company complaints procedure for students, which is available upon request. Awarding bodies will not accept complaints directly unless you have followed this process.
6.1. Attendance by a student onto a training course, even with a formal certificate on completion, does not provide any guarantee of workmanship, performance, quality or status of the student during future endeavours.
6.2. All information provided is given in good faith and Pencil Proof will not be held responsible for actions taken by the student/client, any other individual or organisation as a result of the information provided during the training course.
6.3. Pencil Proof reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
7.1. All intellectual property rights remain the property of Pencil Proof and any copies made of course materials, booklets or training aids will be an infringement of copyright unless agreed in writing by Pencil Proof.
